Hi, I’m Christina.

A smiling woman with short, tousled brown hair, wearing clear glasses and a nose ring, dressed in a pink shirt, standing against a plain light-colored wall.

I’m Christina Desrochers LMHC, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the Greater Boston area offering affirming, client-centered therapy for teens and adults navigating the complexity of modern life.

I began counseling in 2020—an especially wild time to enter the field—and since then, the world hasn’t exactly slowed down. What I’ve learned is this: people don’t need fixing, they need space, understanding, and support that actually fits who they are.

I identify as queer, liberal, and non-monogamous. Many of my clients come to therapy looking for a counselor who truly “gets it”—someone who understands identity, relationships outside the norm, systemic stress, and the emotional weight of existing in today’s world.

Being an empath, I naturally attune to what’s happening beneath the surface. Professional training refined those instincts into a strong clinical skillset, allowing me to support individuals with insight, compassion, and evidence-based care.

Therapy with me is collaborative, honest, and grounded in respect for your lived experience. You don’t have to perform, explain yourself, or fit into a box here—you get to show up as you are.

  • $200 per clinical hour (50 minutes).

If your insurance includes out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement of your session fees after meeting your deductible. These benefits allow you to work with me even if I’m not paneled with your insurance network. Reimbursement may for full or partial coverage. I always recommend contacting your insurance company directly to confirm your specific benefits and reimbursement process.

I’m happy to provide a SuperBill—a detailed receipt that includes all necessary information for submitting a claim to your insurance provider. Payment is due at the time of your session.

  • I highly recommend weekly at first as there is so much to unpack with a new therapist. The continuation of therapy is totally based on your needs. Weekly and biweekly are most common. I’m flexible and you can always reach out to me for sessions as needed.

Therapy can be a long term commitment or short term. I have clients who I’ve known for years and I have clients who I’ve known for a few weeks or months. I will always support you in gauging what’s right for you!

  • A “clinical hour” is 50 minutes. Usually around 50 minutes we start wrapping up, assessing what’s coming up next for you, and making sure our next session is scheduled.

I welcome you to assess your own needs and if you need to arrive to session late or leave early you just let me know!

  • Book a consult! Let’s connect via phone to check the vibe. Message me and we’ll sort out the logistics.
